Essay Prompts:
(1) Discuss a historical figure or event that embodies your view of Chinese-American culture, and explain why.
(2) To what extent does language define your identity? (Optional: What does "Chinglish" mean to you?)
(3) If you were to pick two physical symbols to represent American culture and Chinese culture, what would they be? How would you reconcile them? Or is there something that can represent both? These symbols can be anything, ranging from the Chinese and American flags, to two different types of food. Be creative!
